Intersections Media and the “Snapshots” Program
Intersections Media is a non-profit, digital filmmaking skills development program that is operating in the downtown eastside of Vancouver. Participants in our program are youth with multiple barriers to employment who come to us from across the lower mainland.
Our "Snapshots" program produces corporate videos for local clients on a fee for service basis. In addition to providing a valuable service to our community and private sector clients, Snapshots plays an important role within our digital filmmaking skills development program by introducing a “real world” application for our program participants.
Led by professional mentors, our youth teams work through the entire process of creating, filming and delivering to our clients a professional video product. Youth production teams are composed of graduates of either our Digital Film Workshop or our “Intersections' Intensive" skills development program.

Our goal is to make every Snapshots project a win-win situation, with clients provided a professionally produced product that meets their needs, and our participants provided jobs and invaluable work experience. In addition, revenues from these projects contribute to the financing of programs within Intersections.
